UCLA awards an annual prize called the Nate Wilson Joie de Vivre award, which is presented to the screenwriting student whose screenplay is selected as best of the year.

In 2017, UCLA gave out two awards and I was honored to received the 2017 Nate Wilson Joie de Vivre Honorable Mention for my screenplay “Tap Out”.

“The Nate Wilson Award was established by the family of Nate Wilson, who passed away while he was a student in the 2003-04 Professional Program in Screenwriting. Nate was enthusiastically committed to screenwriting and to the program, and his family wanted to honor his memory each year by helping a Professional Program student pursue his or her screenwriting career with a generous financial award.”
